Things learned

Mom was always very generous with anything that she could. She always tried to be a friend to everyone. She always wanted to lift everyone up. If she was going to take on a project, she would go full steam ahead, and she would make sure all the little stuff was taken care of, because the little stuff does matter, it what makes the big stuff noticed. She did not put herself ahead of others, always first taking care of those around her. Mom would tell me, just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. Mom liked to be silly and have fun with everything. She would write little snippets of things on any paper she could find. She would keep her journal on the wall calendar and write a few of the highlights of her day such as "had lunch with the girls...Love them" or "my love and I enjoyed the football game". Mom always had great foresight and vision. She looked forward to trying to make a difference in someone's life daily, whether by that great big smile she always wore, a kind word, or a token of affection that they were a part of her life and she was proud to know them. These lessons are all which we could adopt.
